AustCham Beijing has opened applications for the 2014 intake of the AustCham Beijing Future Business Leaders Program.
The AustCham Beijing Future Business Leaders Program is an initiative of AustCham Beijing and was developed in 2011 in response to Australia’s growing economic, cultural and political relationship with China.
Previously known as the AustCham China Scholarship, the programme offers Australian students work experience opportunities in China to enhance their long-term outlook of the Australia-China relationship and develop stronger networks through business or cultural pursuits.
Talented Australian graduates are placed in key Australian industries in China through a comprehensive language, mentoring and work placement program. The purpose of the program is to provide a comprehensive career development platform for Australians with a passion for developing a career in China or with a China focus. For these individuals the program has been tailored to provide maximum industry exposure, networking and learning opportunities on a professional, cultural and personal level.
The 2014 program provides a number of positions for talented Australian students across a broad range of industries and academic backgrounds. The 2014 intake will also incorporate the Marita Cheng – AustCham Beijing Engineering Future Leader, for aspiring female engineers, and the AustCham Beijing Indigenous Australian Future Business Leader, which will promote a young, China-focused Indigenous Australian.
Specific industry sectors and the number of positions will continue to be updated until the end of December. Applications will close on February 21, 2014.
AustCham Beijing is currently welcoming applicants for the Early Applications under non-specific positions. For a full listing of industry sectors and eligibility criteria and more details on the application process visit: http://www.austcham.org/resources/austcham-china-scholarship-program
