Summary of Responsibilities:
1.Generating, strategizing, editing and polishing content for ads, website, brochures, posters, according to marketing needs; responsible for all English content related to BJU
2. Content quality management for all hospital literature, presentations, signs and Web material
3. Communication & coordination between marketing and other departments/clinics, also with media & community partners
4. Responsible for BJU image in community as conveyed through all internal and external communication, including hospital signage, promotions, Website, advertisements, publications

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in writing or communications-related field, medical knowledge or background is a plus
• Familiarity with editorial & publication processes; prior publication experience highly desirable
• Able to initiate research without supervision to familiarize self with developments in a variety of medical fields and United Family Healthcare
• Skills in the Adobe suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) and Web design a plus
• Journalism experience or training preferred
• Proactive and self-motivated team player, able to thrive in bilingual (English, Chinese), multicultural environment; Chinese language skills strongly preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
• Must have very strong English writing and editing skills and the ability to write in a variety of styles and tones
• Advertisement, advertorial, press release, feature and informational writing skills are all necessary
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills are essential
• Knowledge of social media & networking channels
• Must be able to work in a multicultural environment, understanding unique challenges that come with working in an international organization
• Must be versatile and flexible. Must be willing and able to perform a variety of marketing communications tasks outside of writing, including design-related projects, staffing events and hosting activities, delivering presentations
• Ability to resolve conflict and disagreements in constructive, professional manner
• Mastery of Microsoft Office suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Responsibilities:
• Write and/or edit all English materials that will be published internally or externally by the BJU Marketing Department, offering support to other departments and UFH as needed
• Help facilitate the favorable and professional presentation of BJU in local English publications (both in writing and online). This includes keeping information updated and actively seeking out ways to promote the BJU brand in the Beijing community.
• Participate in editing for the corporate quarterly magazine; act as managing editor of monthly staff newsletter
• Interview medical staff and patients on a regular basis, ensure validity of publication content
• Conduct Marketing orientation for all English New Employee Orientation sessions
• Monitor English Web forums for BJU-related activity, produce monthly reports, draft responses to escalating complaints and/or crises
• Attend meetings and/or hospital programs as needed to offer Marketing assistance
• Assist in BJU/UFH Marketing events, initiatives, information gathering and research as needed. Examples of this include giving hospital tours, taking meeting minutes, and taking part in BJU Marketing events like school fairs, blood drives, etc.
