AustCham Shanghai is seeking a vibrant and experienced Events Manager to work in our Shanghai based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the AustCham Shanghai brand via the events program, covering all business sectors and social networking opportunities. AustCham Shanghai is proud to have conceptualised and produced over 100 business, social and professional development events in 2012.

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor degree or extensive experience in hospitality or event management
- Minimum 2 years of event management experience, preferably in a multi-national environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; English native and Mandarin preferred
- Ability to:
- Execute events to given budget satisfying stakeholder and sponsor requirements
- Be independent and motivated whilst working in a team environment
- Work simultaneously on multiple tasks with competing priorities and deadlines
- Work well under pressure and possess good problem solving skills
- Maintain creativity and high attention to detail
- Excellent presentation, relationship management and interpersonal skills
- Good people management/supervisory skills
- Highly skilled in the use of personal computers including the suite of MS Office software and CRM tools
