The Hong Kong-Australia Business Association has celebrated business excellence with a recent awards ceremony in Sydney, writes HKABA Executive Officer Teresa Lee.
The National Hong Kong–Australia Business Association (HKABA), an initiative set up by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council in 1987, held its first National Business Awards in Sydney in March.
The inaugural ‘National HKABA–Cathay Pacific Asia Business Awards’ were officially launched by the National President of the HKABA, Lucinda Chan and Cathay Pacific Airlines – South West Pacific General Manager, Dane Cheng, at a gala dinner at Le Montage, Bayside Events Centre in Sydney.
The National Awards are designed to give recognition to Australian individuals and companies who strive for excellence in all aspects of international trade between Australia and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. Each of the entrants at these National Awards was selected from the many deserving finalists in each of the HKABA State Chapter Business Award events.
The Awards are designed to highlight the business achievements of individuals or companies in their efforts to promote trade between Australia and Hong Kong SAR and/or China.
