Events Coordinator
The Events Coordinator is responsible for the Chamber’s event program – which is one of the Chamber’s primary sources of income.

Key Responsibilities
o Design and execute comprehensive event program including but not limited to: Kookaburra Pub, Embassy Briefings, Seminars, Speaker events, Aussie Ball, AGM, Golf Day, Aust-China Business Forums
o Website Management of Membership Area
o Ensure event program is profitable and relevant to Chamber community
o Manage event receivables
o Ensure event program is fairly shared throughout the Chamber’s “venue” members
o Venue/Contract negotiations
o Other duties as assigned

Key Performance Indicators
o Consistent and profitable revenue stream
o Regular reporting and “competitive analysis”
o Marketing & promoting (listing events with press, website, weekly e-newsletter)
o Ensures Speaker ppt’s are delivered prior to event and loaded onto the members-only area post event
o Sponsorship
o Printing of materials

Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s Degree in relevant industry (required for expatriate candidates)
o Previous experience in marketing, PR and Event Management role
o Computer literacy
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Chinese literacy a bonus)
o Strong and flexible work ethic

Reporting Hierarchy
The Events Coordinator reports to the General Manager or the General Operations Manager (in their absence the Events Coordinator will report to AustCham Board’s executive committee). The Event Manger will often liaise with Membership and Finance teams.

General Awareness
Understands the considerations and values of a non-profit, membership based organization. Ability to work in a small team environment, contribute positively to local atmosphere and deliver on job responsibilities.
