Stock exchange standards and more than a century of experience

Academies Australasia colleges are all controlled and managed by Garratt’s Limited – an Australian company that is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and therefore subject to strict financial and reporting standards. The group has been operating for more than 101 years.

Academies Australasia is made up of seven colleges, six operating in Australia including two campuses in Sydney, one in Leura in the Blue Mountains and one in Barton in the Australian Capital Territory, and one college in Singapore.

Thousands of students from 92 countries have studied at the colleges in Australia that make up the group: an English language college (Academy of English), a senior high school (Australian International High School), and four vocational colleges (Academy of Social Sciences, Australian College of Technology, Clarendon Business College and Supreme Business College). The broad nationality mix gives students an excellent exposure to different cultures.

These colleges offer a wide range of courses such as General English, EAP and IELTS preparation courses, TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) Teacher Training, Years 11 and 12 of senior high school, Accounting and Financial Services, Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, Travel and Tourism and Telecommunications.

The courses offered by Academies Australasia College in Singapore include English language and government school preparatory programmes and Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Degree programmes in a range of subjects.

The vocational colleges offer pathways to many universities in Australia.

Christopher Campbell, Academies Australasia’s Chairman & Managing Director, says it is possible for students to save six months and more than 100,000 RMB when studying for a Bachelor degree if they first complete an Advanced Diploma at one of the Academies Australasia colleges. Many of their graduates have achieved advanced standing and successfully completed degrees and other programmes at institutions such as Sydney University, University of New South Wales, University of Technology Sydney, Griffith University and Le Cordon Bleu.

The group’s partners in China include Tsinghua University, Beijing Normal University and Tianjin Radio & TV University.
