About China Connection

In his position as editor of Australia China Connections website, Carl Jetter is focusing on the ever expanding Australia/China business trade. This popular website is a result of the previously well respected Australia China Connections magazine, which sadly closed down after a successful 10 years of providing valuable information.

Australia China Connections is now focusing more on its consulting activities, with a hands-on approach to assist Australian companies to become ‘China Ready’ and provide ‘China Business Development’ support and activities.

Carl Jetter presents workshops on Cultural Diversity to Australian companies and provides a successful Job Placement Program for Chinese graduates in Australia.

His work also includes the establishing of connections between Victorian and Chinese education institutions.

He joined the Victorian board of the Australia China Business Council Vic. in 2006 and was Vice-president for five years. At the end of 2013 he stepped down to take up the role of Acting General Manager to re-structure admin for ACBC Vic, followed by an ongoing commitment as Business Development Manager to assist in expanding the association’s role within the Australia/China space.

As editor of Australia China Connections website and an active consultant to Australian and Chinese firms he firmly believes that regular travels to China are imperative to understand and activate the many opportunities between our two countries.

Carl Jetter was elected by the Melbourne rate payers as a Councillor for the City of Melbourne in 2004 and was re-elected in 2008 for another 4 years.
During his eight years with the City of Melbourne he was especially focusing on the areas of Marketing, International Relations, Tourism, and Education.
In November 2012 he was almost re-elected a third time, but just missed out.

Prior to his election as councillor to the City of Melbourne, Carl Jetter’ s main business focus for the past 20 years has been the development of business associations and the publishing of related business magazines.
