Buddhist jewellery and carvings set a very high demand for Indian Sandalwood. TFS Sandalwood trees are naturally grown in sustainable plantations in Northern Australia. The TFS Indian Sandalwood Estate is currently 7600 Ha of which TFS Shareholders own approximately 2400 Ha. The Sandalwood trees are harvested at a nominal age of 15years. At this age the Sandalwood trees have developed the highly valued heartwood from which is extracted the pharmaceutical grade Sandalwood Oil.
